The Politics of Religion v Spiritual Truth

Each One of Us Ought To Spend Some Time at The Spirit of Truth Library for all politics [is] local including the politics of theology, religion, the mosque, the church ... In fact, modern day purveyors of 'the absolute truth' - the Prophet Jonah's of modern times: They believe that they have a monopoly on truth, and hope to see that other people are destroyed. Wrong Spirit!!

In fact, it would appear that all of them have made themselves enemies to 'the Spirit of Truth' itself. Why? Because the Spirit of Truth transcends, in other words attempts to go beyond their established belief systems and dogma.

Sub Topic: Why Have They Forbade 'the spirit of truth' from guiding them as well as their followers into all of the truth! Answer: What matters to them most, is their own limited version of the truth: One that is based upon their limited cognitive understanding and politics.

I often wonder which areas of the truth might 'the Spirit of Truth', have guided us into if not for the self-proclaimed and limited harbingers of truth who claim to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Again, if we could shut them up just long enough, humans might learn the truth about evolution, parthenogenesis, quantum theory, physics, mechanics, worm holes, homosexuality (oops), innersex people and animals, what really lies in the heavens over us ...

The title of of their textbooks ought to be: Everything You Wanted To Know About God or Anything Else: Just Ask Us!

A Proposition: I will begin this thesis with the following proposition: All religions, including Christianity are politically twinged and so are its teachers -- be they Prelates, Bishops, Clerics, Imams, Shamans ... They have a vested interest in teaching what is consistent and that which aligns with the society that they grew up or live in.

I have detected from most religious teachers and clerics that I know of, have read or heard about, a dissociative quality, if not down right denial of any thing that differs from what they have concluded to be the truth. In fact, they have been twinged by their own local politics. Consider the American capitalist church as an example and the effects that it has held on American, show me the money, networking and get rich churches.

Perhaps, the gift of God that they refer to, can be bought with money after all, seeing how what American capitalist Christians want more, even more than 'eternal life is money after all. I am reminded a pastor who visited the area, who had the parishioners to take money in their hands during a church service, and to shout "the money is coming". Hmm, once upon a time the people were more interested in the return of Jesus, but in this particular money, parishioners were taught to crave money.

Scriptures: John 16:13 When(A) the Spirit of truth comes,(B) he (or IT perhaps) will(C) guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but(D) whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

Luke Chapter 2:43 After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it.
44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.
47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers.
48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”

49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[a] 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them.

51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

Part I. A Conundrum Wrapped Up in an Enigma Again?
What did Mary feel in her heart, when she found her presaged son challenging the teachers of the political religion of her time and the region in which she lived. For 30 years later, a young man would have his membership in the synagogue canceled for not strictly adhering to the political religion of his time and location.

A similar conundrum persists today among all religious groups, even among Christian ones. Christians hate Muslims, simply ask Rev. Franklin Graham. I often wonder how many have thought about the fact that the angel of the Lord, reportedly appeared to just as it apparently did to the Virgin Mary.

I am about to deal with one of the most controversial topics of all, since I have been learning how to write - not finished yet. In it I will explore two important issues, the Spirit of Truth and what it can teach us, and why religious teachers and organizations, more than any other group forbid it from doing so.

Consider this?

1. The effort that the Spirit of Truth has made to reveal certain truths, that religious groups and their respective teachers refuse to receive or disclose to the general public. Consider, the spirit of truth and what it has to reveal about science to include evolution, thermodynamics, entropy ...has been impaired. Religious groups, even Christians ones, are 'quenching the spirit'!

Consider how critical this is given that most Christians are waiting for the next stage in a divine evolutionary cycle, a time when they expect to be changed from mortality to immorality, and subsequently to be caught up into the sky to meet the Lord in the air. Well, we have been up in the sky and there is nothing up there.

Other considerations:

1. Religious groups and their respective teachers who sincerely believe that they have a monopoly on truth (based on their respective understandings of religious texts, tradition and myth.

2. The limitations placed upon human understanding that has been imposed by religion and religious groups.

3. The confinements of human understanding especially in the context of political religion, to the extent that it would forbid, reject or prohibit the spirit of truth (minus the mystical aspects). In other words monopolizing, hindering and limiting the spirit of truth that they claim to represent and whereby preventing anyone or any other discipline from going beyonds the limits of their understanding or perceptions.

4. What happens when a child or citizen of a state questions or rejects his or her family's dominant religion?

5. What's more important religion, political or familial religion, or the Spirit of Truth.

6. The extent to which we have been hindered by the sincere, the misguided and the misdirected?

Have you ever had someone give you that condescending, I know that you don't know any better look. A young man who is a member of the T-Party in America, gave me that look just 72 hours ago. Why? Well, he had memorized all of the talking points from the T-Party team, and rehearsed them. In the mind of most T-Partier's, they have a monopoly on truth. And to their credit, some of them are not rude at all, they simply feel sorry for the great unwashed, because we are actually incapable, as far as they are concerned, of comprehending the 'real truth', that is the truth as they perceive it!

Anyone who believes that all that we, humans, need to know is contained in 66 books, I believe is madly mistaken, otherwise, Jesus, would have brought the 66 books with him. Folks, it is time to leave the principles and to move on. Love is what mattered, not theology. It is theology only, that caused the Apostle Paul to go wrong. And then, he learned something about love. And once love overtook him, he was a changed man! We have too many, unloving, but literalist Pharisees today.

They are trying to stop the wrong people, that is, people who simply want the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth! Human history: Can you imagine if it was to continue on as it has done in its present state, sex, sexism, greed, political monopolies, religious sectarianism ...

I can, however, I know that some things will have to change, and one of the thing that will have to change is the very belief, that all that needs to be known has already been understood by certain religious groups, including the one that I am a member of)!

Peace, Grace & Seek the Spirit of Truth
